Two Teams Self-Producing Short Films
Chosen To Receive Free Consultation Help From Artists Resource Directory
The Challenge is for Brooklyn-based Adult Writing Teams who draft a short script (2-5 pages) that uses one location and can be shot in one day; who plan to self-produce; and who agree to do their shoot by July 31st 2020.
The top (2) Writing Teams from our Challenge will have access to consultation help from an array of filmmakers, craftspeople, and artists, as well as use of original music for their soundtracks.
Adult beginners will have the opportunity to talk with and learn from those already doing it – from student to professional levels of development
For their film soundtracks Teams will also have access to original music from our:
You will be able to match music to your story before you shoot! Being able to hold creative dialogues with an outside Artist will help you imagine the mood and pacing for your-film-to-be.
Music can become a building block for your Production Design !
MAKING FILMS IS PEOPLE-CENTRIC!
Being Able To Meet And Question
People Who Make Films And Art
Introduces You To:
the artistic process
faith that fuels determination
craftspeople who turn junk into treasure
how to develop creative collaborations
It's possible that an Artist who gives you a consultation might end up liking your project and will mentor you through your shoot.
It's even possible you may find Artists from the Directory who will be interested in working on your shoot for a small fee -- increasing the professionalism on your set.
If that happens it will be, yes, because you have a great script. But it also will be because the Artist likes you and the energy of your Team. Making Films Is People-Centric!
